A Brief History...

One winters evening a few years ago we sat in the local pub (as you do) having just bought the domain name film-tv.co.uk, wondering what the hell we were going to do with it. Early on we decided that it was not going to be run as a commercial venture, much as the though of being e-millionaires (at least on paper) appealed to us, our careers were in the film & television industries and trying to run a web business alongside them just wouldn't happen to the detriment or one or the other. As far as concept and content went we had a trawl around the net (not in the pub, obviously) and discovered there was a lack of websites specifically for experienced people within film/tv - most of the existing sites were far bigger than we could realistically be and catered for all levels of experience. We decided (not for any elitist reasons as someone once suggested) to concentrate on building a small independent site for working, experienced professionals and thus film-tv.co.uk was born.
